Aki’s new release puts itself in the cerebral form of natural instrumentation. the various, almost jazz composed, pieces come together for an energetic and implosive sound. it’s a collection that taps the right parts of the brain to feel complete, interesting. the track build and collects before letting itself dive into euphoria. the sound is definitely a more popular form of alternative pop coming out of Japan today. a sound i mentally and casually relegate to Aimer. a bit unfair to assign each new effort to one origin, but a handy mental shorthand. in any case, “Unaru Hodo no Netsu” is a charged song that immediately grasps the listener. it has a really clean and natural feel while also diving into deep pop for some compelling contrast. really great song, and an instant multi replay.
