about:
Here at The Sagasu Review we have one simple mission:
Review, and help others discover, music from Japan.
Few spaces online feel dedicated to reviewing and writing about Japanese music and media the way we envision. Japanese music and culture has been gaining exponential traction in the world in the recent past. Because of this we aim to foster the primary and evergreen website to host reviews and critical thought-pieces on music and other medias from the country. Through this, we hope readers will find a way to discover new music and better engage with the culture around this medium.
All that to say, we want to review cool shit and get it to you. So that’s gonna be our job. We write, so you have a dedicated place to visit when you want to know more about that new album or song you’ve been interested in.
A place to better engage with your fandom.
A place to find more and dive deeper.
Here at The Sagasu Review we have one goal, and we are gonna have a good time doing it.
Join us for reviews: albums recently released. tracks new and in focus. ⏪︎rewind revitalizes attention on past releases. For your discovery.
Join us for features: Thought-pieces and spotlights on the music we are passionate about.
Join us for lists: A collection recommendations and sorted articles. ▶︎ currently listening: is also a great way to connect with the music, the scene and the writers.
