The Sagasu Review is open to both new and experienced writers to help fill out the team. Each perspective counts. If expressing yourself and your thoughts on the medium is something that interests you, please apply. Because we are an independent publication, we (as of right now) can pay about $5 per full review or feature. My goodness, that’s a lot of money! Which also comes along with a small and meaningful list of other compensations. The Sagasu Review is currently fueled by passions, hopes and dreams. It turns out it that actually is a viable source of energy.

Maybe you read a review here you are incredibly upset about. Don’t take it out on us, just apply here and give your opposing thoughts instead! We would enjoy the feature!

However, we do have writing standards to maintain. The Sagasu Review is intended to be a thoughtful and respected publication, and that starts with the people writing for it. Expect to be challenged to meet a certain quality, everyone here is working hard too! With that said we welcome a wide range of styles and opinions. Please only apply if you are a passionate human being.

for any inquiries or applications please submit the following to marcus@thesagasureview.com with the subject “PASSION”:

  • your reason for applying

  • a review of any piece you’d like or feature essay to demonstrate your writing style.

  • a personal explanation of yourself, your interest in the music and any other background information needed to present yourself. What are you most interested in writing about?

Take the chance to have fun with writing it and express who YOU are. Don’t feel the need to conform to any specific style. We want to allow space for personal expression.

The Sagasu Review is meant to be a platform to promote and encourage individual voice and identity.

we hope to work with you soon,

The Sagasu Review Team
