“i’ve really been into hip-hop pop/ R&B, specifically from the early 2000’s. i find the style of music both uplifting and energetic. it’s a genre i’ve never really had a chance to try, however this year it’s really been taking up a lot of my bandwidth! m-flo especially. it seems the Japanese branch of this genre feel is focused on more on the struggles and appreciations of life. that’s something i can certainly get behind. it’s also brought me back to a renewed enjoyment of Nujabes and other adjacent artists. i find the music has been injecting my day-to-day life with a new kind of verve.

i’d like to include two playlists. one is a more traditional “currently listening:” feature and the other focused on hip-hop/ R&B aspect.

originally i wanted a “currently listening:” banner on the site footer to exhibit a thru-line of personal touches across the site. it felt a bit too personal. this feels more appropriate. visit here often to find what we are currently listening to.”
