Fujii Kaze is another artist yet to be reviewed on this site. he comes with R&B and Pop genre associations. while sometimes a bit soft for my taste, i generally enjoy his works.
“Comets + Gold” is a classic modern emotionally driven track. a short but tight performance coming in at 3 minutes and 8 seconds. paired with artist Elmiene, i am always excited and happy to see American and Japanese artist collaborations. the world deserves to be a bit smaller in the musical sphere. influences combine into a gentle and poetic sort of expression. it’s a dreamy song eschewing a spacey feel through plodding tempo and flowery depictions of love through astronomical related verbiage.
the song does not stick around for very long, both in run-time or in my feelings. but i seem to already have played it few handful of times in the past hour, and i know i’ll be excited to revisit again tomorrow upon waking up. my only criticism is that i wish the song explored its theme a bit longer and more fully. the song doesn’t ask for much to listen and could probably ask for more. i’d like that.
